Nataraj - Indian vegetarian restaurant in Ginza is the third in a beloved line of healthy restaurants.
They take classic “home cooking” styles and techniques and mix them with organic, nutritious, and self-grown ingredients to create chic, sumptuous dishes that are absolutely unforgettable.

Their first store opened in 1989, their Ginza store in 2002.
During that time until now, Nataraj has been featured in countless magazines and television shows.
But despite all the attention and fame, Nataraj has managed to remember their humble beginnings and retain their genuine charm.

There are a number of factors that separates Nataraj from other vegetarian and Indian establishments, but what makes them particularly unique is the wheat gluten and soy-based mock meats they serve in addition to traditional Indian vegetarian fare.
Working from their concept of “Natural is Healthy”, Chief Chef Sadananda and his team of food artists create masterpieces out of simple wholesome ingredients.

The Indian vegetarian restaurant in Ginza is unquestionably the most stylish of the Nataraj group, the other two being in Ogikubo and Aoyama. Spread across three floors, the atmosphere of its romantic modern interior is enhanced by exquisite pieces of Indian art.
With over one-hundred seats and two private rooms, having a meal here is an unparalleled Indian restaurant experience.

Nataraj Ginza regularly hosts belly dancing shows, small musical concerts, and other dancing and live events, so be sure to check their webpage for show times and details.
They can also host large party events, but be sure to call and make reservations well in advance.

Nataraj - Indian Vegetarian Restaurant in Aoyama Since 2000

Located just a short walk from Aoyama’s Bell Commons, Nataraj has been serving the area some of the most sophisticated in taste yet simple in ingredients, outstanding vegetarian Indian cuisine for the last fifteen years.
With its graceful interior, wood floors, and a spacious dining room that easily accommodates 56 seats, the Indian vegetarian restaurant in Aoyama is the perfect place for a casual lunch or elegant dinner before a night out on the town.

Nataraj is famous for their “Natural is Healthy” philosophy and holistic approach to cooking.
Their vegetables come from one of their three self-owned and run organic farms. Their chapatti, parata, and roti are all made from whole wheat flour.
Their naan is made from a natural yeast base; they also produce a vegan naan with no egg added or milk used.
In fact, Nataraj has been recognized by the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals Asia-Pacific (PETA) as one of the top ten meatless meals restaurants in Asia.

Their extensive menu of curries include: vegetable, beans, and their specialty - soybean gluten.
They also survey Savji-type curries, a style of curry that comes from Nagpur, Maharashtra that is famous for its very hot and spicy flavour.
You can order them as a stand-alone meal, or as part of a set, which also includes naan, tikka, papad, achar, plus your choice of dessert, organic wine, or chai or lassi.
Traditional samosas and pakoras are available too, of course, as are a variety of soups and salads.

Nataraj has a special lunch set menu from 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM on weekdays, they also offer a special holiday lunch set on national holidays.

Nataraj – Indian Vegetarian Restaurant in Ogikubo Since 1989

There is certainly no shortage of good Indian restaurants in Japan, but only a select few can boast the authenticity, history and integrity, as well as success of Nataraj.
The Indian Vegetarian Restaurant in Ogikubo prides itself not only on the flavour of their food, but also the quality of their food and the staff that prepares it.
“Natural is Healthy”has been their motto since opening their first shop in Japan in 1989; twenty six years later, they are still providing some of the best, healthiest Indian cuisine in the country.

Nataraj owns three farms, one in Chiba, Yamanashi, and Nagano prefectures, where they produce organic vegetables such as onions, lettuce, tomatoes, and the like.
The beans and spices that they use come directly from India. Even their cooking oil, which is GMO free, is carefully considered.
The natural yeast bread Nataraj makes for their naan requires two days to be ready, unlike other restaurants that rely on instant yeast.

Nataraj opened its first shop in Takadanobaba back in 1989.
Within ten years, however, they’d outgrown their fifteen-seat small space, as their menu selection and customer based increased.
Needing to expand the size of their store, they made the decision to relocate to Ogikubo.
Their reputation and fans only continued to increase, and so a second store in Aoyama opened in 2000, and a third store in Ginza in 2002.

Chief Chef Sadananda, from the original Takadanobaba store, is still in the kitchen creating the wonderful “home cooking” that Nataraj is renowned for.
Their menu (available in English) varies from store to store; all are chock-full of vegetarian wonders to delight all your senses.
Most offer several curry sets, including one for children, as well as snacks, desserts, and even a special “no onion, no garlic” menu for those who prefer.
